About Shes.No.Martha

Greetings & Welcome!

Shes.No.Martha is a little place I come to randomly discuss those things that I obsess  am passionate about.   Those things include, but aren’t limited to:  Interior Design, Photography, Motherhood, Cooking, Work-life Balance, Reading and trying to be the best damn-me-I-can-be.   I am a wife, mother of 2 and a full-time worker bee in the corporate world.  I admire peeps who can do things with their own two hands and create.  I have about a millions projects in my head at any given time…and I delegate the hard stuff to my wonderful hubby (read: power tools and precise measuring).  I am not an interior designer, but I am one who LOVES to design/look at/think about & ponder  interiors.  I stem from creative folk — my grandfather was a woodworker who literally built his own house.  He was also an amateur photographer.  My grandmother was a very talented painter.  My mom inherited both skills — she can adeptly use power tools while building an Adirondack chair and then she can turn around and paint the hell out of it.  I was a Theatre & Advertising major in college and then flipped brain hemispheres and received a graduate degree in business.  I can definitely critique composition, font, and style…but I can’t really do any sort of measuring or scientific work to get there (ie back to the husband).

I admire Martha Stewart to some extent….I mean, in general, I believe in creating a peaceful, clean, cozy surrounding as well as some other of her philosophies (click here).   But, I don’t have the funds, the media conglomerate empire, or the felony to contend with — hence, the title of this here blog.

I hope there is something here that you will enjoy, get a laugh out of, or make your life easier.  Yeah, it’s a semi-Good Thing.

Please note:  Since this is my blog, I may use language and terminology that you (or Martha) may not approve of.  If you don’t agree, just click on the little X on the top of the right hand side of the page.   :)

Oh, and PS — yeah, I know there should be an apostrophe after the e in She’s.  Chalk it up to artistic license.
